# NewlyRegisteredDomains.io

> Aggregate analysis of newly registered domains, from open sources, updated daily.

NewlyRegisteredDomains.io analyses recent domain registrations across several dimensions: daily volume and the 90-day trend with its weekly rhythm and volatility, distribution by TLD, by registrar and by DNS provider, and the naming characteristics of the domains themselves. Coverage is hundreds of generic top-level domains with 60 days of historical depth.

It is made for brand protection, domain investment and research. Keyword search and the brand lookalike scan are the way into that analysis, not the whole of it.

## API

Two JSON endpoints, same origin, no key required:

    GET /api/search?keyword=<keyword>&tld=<tld>
    GET /api/brand?keyword=<brand>

- keyword: 2 to 30 characters, [a-z0-9-], lowercased server-side.
- tld: optional, default "all". A TLD without the dot, e.g. "com".
- Response: {"success": true, "data": [{"d": "<domain>", "date": "<YYYY-MM-DD>"}], "total_found": <n>}
- /api/brand returns names resembling the queried brand. Resemblance is a
  heuristic signal, not a finding of infringement.

Every domain returned is already registered. This is a record of what was
just taken, not a list of what is available.

Each record is a snapshot from first observation, not a live view. A domain's
status may have changed since; verify with the registry or a registrar before
reporting it as current.

Free use is capped per client per UTC day. Over the cap both endpoints answer
HTTP 429 with error=rate_limited, a Retry-After header and an upgrade_url.
The body carries no numeric cap, so treat any such 429 as done for the day.
